On Tuesday, July 8, our Data Protection team held a training session on the LGPD with employees from the company Dover at the offices of Araújo e Policastro Advogados.
The meeting was attended by employees from different areas of the company and covered, in a practical and accessible way, the main concepts of the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018), including:
- The purpose of the law and its scope of application;
- The legal bases for processing personal data;
- Data sharing and international transfer;
- Retention, storage and disposal of documents;
- Conduct expected of employees;
- Management of incidents and data leaks;
- Penalties for non-compliance with the law.
Case practical
In addition to the conceptual content, the event presented a practical case based on real situations in an industry, with the aim of illustrating the daily challenges in data processing and highlighting the importance of compliance.
