On August 1st and 2nd, our Tax lawyers, Fernanda Botinha Nascimento and Maria Carolina Torres, took part in the event ACONCARF ITINERANTE | São Paulo, organized by the Association of Counselors Representing Taxpayers at CARF (ACONCARF – Associação dos Conselheiros Rep. dos Contribuintes no Conselho Administrativo de Recursos Fiscais) and held by the Brazilian Association of Financial Law (ABDF – Direito Financeiro).

The event was held at the headquarters of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP) and promoted two days of stimulating debates between counselors, prosecutors, lawyers and taxpayers on current tax issues, in a complete program that included 15 panel discussions and more than 90 speakers.

Among the subjects covered:

– Competence and functioning of CARF;
– Tax Administrative Proceedings and Evidence Law;
– Impacts of Tax Reform on CARF;
– Stability of CARF Jurisprudence and Legal Security;
– International Taxation;
– Tax Liability in CARF Jurisprudence, among other debates.
