Extension of the deadline for payment of CPRB and FUNRURAL

In continuity with the Federal Government’s programs to mitigate the economic impacts resulting from the interruption of the activities of companies due to the Covid-19 pandemic, on April 8, 2020, Ordinance No. 150/2020 of the Ministry of Economy was published, which allowed the extension of the deadline for payment of the Social Security Contribution on Gross Revenue (“CPRB”) and the Contribution to the Rural Worker Assistance Fund (“FUNRURAL”), due in the months of March and April 2020, which must be paid within maturity of contributions due in July and September 2020.

The aforementioned normative act modified Ordinance No. 139/2020, published on April 3, 2020, which allowed the payment of only social security contributions on the payroll and PIS / COFINS to be deferred. Thus, the demand of several taxpayers who were already helping the Judiciary to extend the aforementioned extension to the payment deadlines of the CPRB and the Contribution to FUNRURAL remains to be met.
