Covid-19 and its legal impacts

The Coronavirus pandemic has created countless challenges in the lives of people and in the businesses of companies and has greatly impacted economic activity in the world.

Companies of all sizes and segments have had their activities reduced or paralyzed, facing the lack of supplies, the fall of stock exchanges, the increase in exchange rates, the closing of borders and various legal issues arising from this current unprecedented scenario.

In view of the numerous legal challenges in the most varied areas of law and to serve our clients efficiently, we created a multidisciplinary Task Force to deal with the consequences arising from the Coronavirus epidemic and its legal and economic developments.

Our Task Force is closely monitoring the evolution and developments of this pandemic in the legal field: new legislation and regulations issued, corporate and contractual issues, such as the provision of goods and services, characterization of force majeure and interruption of activities, tax and labor issues, including flexible working relationships and remote work, insurance, data protection, litigation, among others.
