Government revokes the Provisional Measure known as “Labor Minirreform” and will edit new text
Despite being approved by the Chamber of Deputies, with changes, last week, Provisional Measure No. 905/2019, also known as “labor minirreform”, which soften some labor rules and instituted the “Green Yellow Contract”, a government program for the creation of positions for young people between 18 and 29 years old, as well as incentives to reduce labor charges for companies, has been revoked by the Government and will be reissued.
The Provisional Measure, lasting 120 days, should be voted on by both Houses of Congress until the last Monday (April 20, 2020) not to lose its validity and effectiveness. However, the Federal Senate decided not to put the matter on the agenda for judgment, as it understands that it is a very complex and delicate matter to be analyzed in a hurry, since it eases and alters several labor rules.
Therefore, after agreements between the President of the Senate and the President of the Republic, the Government revoked the PM and will present an edited text for new approval.
